Some Ships Become Light

Preparing and packaging artworks

As a rule, artworks are prepared for dispatch within up to 7 calendar days after the order is confirmed.

This period includes checking the painting, preparing the accompanying documents and creating protective packaging.

Paintings are made on canvas stretched over a wooden frame and are shipped without a decorative frame, unless otherwise stated in the artwork description.

Each painting is packaged individually using protective materials suited to its dimensions and characteristics.

For large artworks or those needing extra protection, rigid packaging may be used, including custom-made wooden or plywood crates. Preparation may take longer in these cases, and an estimate will be provided before purchase confirmation.

Delivery within Romania

Artworks are shipped throughout Romania by courier or a transport service appropriate to each painting.

Estimated transit time: 2–5 business days after the parcel is handed over to the carrier.

Delivery costs

The displayed artwork price includes shipping worldwide, including Romania, regardless of the artwork price or distance.

Stripe Checkout does not add any shipping charge. Protective packaging and any necessary special packing or dedicated delivery are included in the artwork price.

Direct online orders are available for destinations that can be legally and logistically served and appear in the checkout shipping form. An unsupported destination cannot be selected or charged a separate shipping supplement.

International delivery

Artworks may be shipped to destinations across Europe, including the United Kingdom, as well as the Americas, Asia, Australia and Oceania, subject to carrier availability and the legal requirements of each country.

Estimated transit times

These estimates begin when the parcel is handed over to the carrier and exclude preparation and packaging time.

Actual delivery times may vary due to destination, customs procedures, the service selected or circumstances beyond the sender’s control.

International shipping costs

International shipping and packaging are included in the artwork price, including distant destinations available at checkout. No additional freight charge is added for an accepted destination.

Customs duties, import VAT and other taxes imposed by the destination country are distinct from shipping charges and may be payable by the buyer, subject to applicable law and pre-purchase disclosures.

Worldwide delivery is subject to carrier availability, export/import rules and legal restrictions. Destinations that cannot be served or are not offered by Stripe Checkout cannot be selected for direct purchase.

Orders and payment

Once online payments are enabled, published, available artworks explicitly approved for direct sale may be purchased through Stripe Checkout.

Checkout uses the displayed artwork price in the currency shown for the selected language; packaging and shipping to accepted destinations are included, with no extra delivery charge.

The buyer enters a shipping address and checks the total before payment. Direct checkout is unavailable for ineligible artworks or unsupported destinations.

Until payments are enabled, the website remains a gallery where visitors can request information.

Total delivery time

Total delivery time includes preparation and packaging plus the transport period.

Preparation normally takes up to 7 calendar days, with transit following the indicative ranges listed above.

Additional time may be needed for special packaging or additional formalities.

Transport safety and receiving your artwork

Every painting is packed carefully using suitable protective materials.

Where available and accepted by the carrier, shipments may be sent with declared value or transport insurance.

On delivery, I recommend checking the integrity of the packaging and the condition of the painting.

If any damage is noticed, please photograph the packaging and artwork and contact me as soon as possible to document the situation and find a solution.

This recommendation does not limit the buyer’s statutory rights.
